Some rare footage of the screen test Tippi Hedren did for Alfred Hitchcock when he was casting for "The Birds". Hitchcock's voice can be heard in the background giving Tippi direction.

Tippi Hedren was one of the people featured in the recent documentary "Whiskey and Apple Pie" that is now available on Amazon. This clip was not included in the final cut of the film but it does have some interesting comments by Tippi on working with Hitchcock.

March 2013 marks the 50th anniversary of the release of The Birds by Alfred Hitchcock. The movie, set in Bodega Bay, is one of Hitchcocks most famous. The Bodega Bay Area Chamber of Commerce will host a screening of the movie on March 23rd.

The Birds co-writer Evan Hunter talks about the original ending of the Birds that was in the shooting script but was never shot.
