Fifty years after its release (on March 28, 1963), we can't stop talking about Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds."

The actress talks about learning from Alfred Hitchcock on her first film.

If you are an Alfred Hitchcock fan you can never seem to get enough information about his classic movie "The Birds" and if you are not a Hitchcock fan, well, enough is probably enough. It been almost 50 years since "The Birds" was made in 1963, yet 10,000 people travel each year to Bodega Bay to take a look at the setting for this movie.

Some rare footage of the screen test Tippi Hedren did for Alfred Hitchcock when he was casting for "The Birds". Hitchcock's voice can be heard in the background giving Tippi direction.

Tippi Hedren was one of the people featured in the recent documentary "Whiskey and Apple Pie" that is now available on Amazon. This clip was not included in the final cut of the film but it does have some interesting comments by Tippi on working with Hitchcock.
