With "Chowder Day 2013" just around the corner (maybe 3-4 corners) it's time to start thinking about the great places to get clam chowder around Bodega Bay.

Time to put away the flip flops and break out the sweater scarves and mukluks. Or Uggs. Or whatever you are bundling yourself in this time of year.

Ever try diving for abalone? Looks like a lot of work and it seems to be pretty dangerous. There are far too many newspaper reports of the deaths of people diving for abalone off the Sonoma Coast.

Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods have opened the Austin Creek Bull Frog Pond campground to campers with access to 20 miles of back country hiking trails and amazing vistas from which to watch the sun go down and moon rise.
