Featuring world-class live music & dance, costumed re-enactments, historic crafts, militia cannon firings, a multi-cultural food court, marketplace, children’s crafts and more, Fort Ross Festival is a weekend-long celebration that brings together artists & performers from around the world covering the breadth of historic Settlement Ross's multicultural community, all performing in a dramatic natural outdoor amphitheater with the Pacific Ocean as its backdrop.
The historic cultural mix of Settlement Ross is reflected on the ocean-view main stage which features performances by some of the most dynamic musicians from Russia and California including Inna Zhelannaya, Aleksander Liapin, Carlos Reyes, Kitka, Los Centzontles and Northern Rainbow from Vologda. Then step through the gates of the Fort Compound and into the shoes of those who lived and worked at Fort Ross in 1840. From historical re-enactments, traditional foods cooked over an open fire and authentic artisans demonstrating hands-on crafts to old-world games and militia cannon firings, a dedicated cast of volunteers bring this history to life.
Fort Ross Festival weaves together a unique blend of history, culture, activities, flavors and entertainment promising an unforgettable experience for all ages in one of the most stunning settings on Earth.
