LYNN MILLAR has a blog "Walking in Sonoma County…mostly" that focuses on good places to walk in Sonoma County.
Lynn writes "There are many places to walk in Sonoma County. But being slightly twisted mentally and physically, I have a different take on walking. I care about where the flowers are, but I also need to know where the bathrooms are. I’m not interested in setting time or distance records, so the walks I’m sharing are relatively flat and 1- 4 miles in length. Of course, any walk can be shorter and many can be longer. When I travel outside Sonoma County, there will be places to walk there. All walks are about noticing your surroundings. Enjoy!"
This post describes her walk at Bodega Dunes with photos by Mike Millar.

Loved the article with the exception of your comment regarding Deikmann’s! I have been going to Bodega Bay for 40 years now, and going to Deikmann’s almost that long too. Most of the staff remember me from my past visits, I go there about 4 times a year. I also stop by Pelican Plaza ( a great store as well), but find Deikmann’s prices are a bit cheaper 🙂
Thanks for the mention. What fun about the dunes. I love to go there, but it’s a hard slog to get to the flatter wet sand. Much appreciate the notice.
